The Northern Sonoma County Fire Protection District, formerly the Geyserville Fire Protection District, protects over 200 square miles in Northern Sonoma County. The creation of the North Sonoma Coast Fire Protection District merged the Annapolis Fire Brigade and The Sea Ranch Volunteer Fire Department geographic areas into a district with a single fire department. The idea of one huge northern Sonoma County fire district offers potential benefits, but the path is complicated, with financial and organizational obstacles to overcome. Providing local control of those fire protection funds, and our local fire department operations; To sustain our CALFIRE contract by redirecting dollars that used to go to Sonoma County CSA #40. The grant funded fuel crew is so vital in removing and reducing fuel along strategic roads throughout the district. We will position the fire district to provide fiscal sustainability while providing excellence in emergency response and community preparedness.
